SUMMARY:Novena Prayer to Saint Anthony of Padua
DESCRIPTION:St. Anthony the Wonder-Worker Always Answers! \nBring your needs to him. For over 700 years\, St. Anthony has been renowned as the “Saint of Miracles.” \nWe will pray to Saint Anthony for a period of nine days\, June 5 – June 13. All petitioners are remembered in daily prayers and masses during the novena. \nAbout St. Anthony\nAnthony was born in Lisbon\, Portugal in 1195. As a young man\, he felt a call to God’s Will and dreamed of becoming a Franciscan Missionary. Illness prevented his traveling to North Africa so he traveled to Italy and became a faithful companion of St. Francis of Assisi. Proclaiming the gospel throughout Northern Italy and Southern France\, defending the poor\, striking out against evil\, and filling the people’s hearts with faith and love.  \nAnthony passed away in 1231 and was proclaimed a Saint the following year. He is the patron of the poor (St. Anthony’s bread) and is popularly invoked as the finder of lost articles. \nHe is depicted holding the infant Jesus because of a vision recorded of him. \nThe Franciscan Brothers\, who are charged with the care of the Black Madonna Shrine and Grottos\, invite you to join us and the Shrine staff in offering prayers to St. Anthony the Miracle Worker. \nTwo ways to submit your petitions\, request a novena\, and donate a petition offering: \n1 – Complete our online form below\, include your petition in the Comments Box\, and click on the submit button\, or \n2 – Print and complete this form (Novena Prayer to St. Anthony) and return the petition with your offering via mail to our office. \n	\n The Black Madonna Shrine offers several Novenas\, Liturgical Services\, and more throughout the year. We encourage you to read through our calendar and find an event that speaks to you. \nYour donation to list your petitions helps with the preservation of Blessed Mother Mary’s Shrine and Grottos. \nWhen making a donation\, place your petition in the comment section below. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n \n \n $ Donation Amount:\n \n \n \n Petition and Vigil Candle DonationPetition Donation without Vigil CandleCustom Petition Donation\n	\n Select Payment Method \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n PayPal\n \n \n \n Credit Card\n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n\n \n \n\n \n \n Personal Info \n\n \n \n \n First Name *\n \n \n \n\n \n \n Last Name *\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n Email Address *\n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n \n Make this an anonymous donation. \n \n \n \n \n \n Comment \n\n \n\n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n \n Create an account \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n	\n \n \n \n \n Donation Total: \n \n $15.00 \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n	\n	\n\n \n\n \n	\n \nUNFAILING PRAYER TO SAINT ANTHONY\nO Holy Saint Anthony gentlest of Saints: your love for God and charity for His creatures made you worthy when on earth\, to possess miraculous powers. \nMiracles waited on your word\, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. \nEncouraged by this thought\, I implore you to obtain for me \n(mention your request) \nThe answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so\, you are the Saint of Miracles. \nO gentle and loving Saint\, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy\, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus\, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. \nAmen. \nSt. Anthony\, whom the Infant Jesus so much loved and honored\, grant us what we ask of you.\nO God!
