Novena to Our Lady of Czestochowa
August 18 - August 26
Black Madonna Shrine offers Novena Prayers to Our Mother Mary for nine days, August 18-26. All petitioners are remembered in daily prayers and masses during the novena.
We urge all of you to join us in prayer, asking for our Blessed Mother’s help.
Two ways to submit your petitions, request a novena or vigil candle, and offer a petition offering:

NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF CZESTOCHOWA
(begin each day with the following)
I beg of Thee, my God, Make haste to assist me.
Oh Holy Father, merciful and just, giver of all good gifts and graces, I honor you through the Virgin Mary, and to ask Her help in my daily life.
O Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of Our Lord Jesus and our mother filled with the most lively confidence, in all-powerful and never-failing intercession manifested so often through the Miraculous Picture, we, your loving and trustful children, implore you to obtain for us the graces and favors we ask during the Novena if they are beneficial to our immortal souls and the souls for whom we pray…

You know, O Mary, how often our souls have been the sanctuaries of our Son Who hates iniquity. Obtain for us then a deep hatred of sin and that purity of heart that will attach us to God alone so that our every thought, word, and deed may tend to His greater glory. Obtain for us also a spirit of prayer and self-denial that we may recover by penance what we have lost by sin and at length attain to that blessed abode where you are the Queen of angels and of men. Amen.
O holiest Virgin, Our Lady of Czestochowa, behold your loving children, kneeling at your feet, imploring your patronage. Receive us, we beseech you and protect us with the mantle of your affection.
DAY 1 Holy Mary,
In thy presence, we repeat once more all the good resolutions we have made in life. With your help, we firmly purpose to keep them til death.
DAY 2 Holy Mary,
accept these prayers which come from the depths of our hearts, obtain for us from your Divine Son Jesus Christ a strong faith, unswerving loyalty to our Church, unshaken hope and abiding love.
DAY 3 Holy Mary,
Our Blessed Mother of Czestochowa, we implore your intercession, that by venerating your Miraculous Painting we may be found worthy of beholding your face in heaven.
DAY 4 Holy Mary,
at the birth of your son, the world rejoiced the Glory of God became man. Assist us to accept the Divine Will and help us live a life worthy of your love.
DAY 5 Holy Mary,
We are not worthy of your kindness, because of our sins we have strayed. Therefore, through the Most Precious Blood which your Son poured out for us we beg, do not cast us aside.
DAY 6 Holy Mary,
You are full of grace, goodness, and mercy, help those in need now, and show us the path to your love, and the true road to salvation.
DAY 7 Holy Mary,
Jesus loves you so, spark our hearts with your love and Shower our families with Your heavenly graces and blessings.
DAY 8 Holy Mary,
Mother of God, we place our lives in your care. Grant peace and justice to our world, that we might live in harmony.
DAY 9 Holy Mary,
through You we beseech Our Lord, bring us acceptance to the Divine Will, please help us accept what will be, Forgive our sins, and grant us eternal life.
In conclusion of the novena, say one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.
