The normal group/pilgrimage season runs from April through October. We do accept groups at others times of the year though the weather may play a factor. Please let us know if you would like to plan a visit from November through March.

What is the size of your group?

The normal group visit begins with a lecture on the history of the Shrine, how and why it was built, and by whom. Then you will take a tour of the grottos pointing out many of the fascinating features of their construction and ornamentation. To fully enjoy the Shrine please allow 1 1/2 hours for the lecture and tour. If you are having a meal add 45 minutes to 1 hour to your visit and if you have a Mass add an additional 45 minutes to your visit.

We do take up a collection from the group to help with the cost of maintaining the beautiful grottos. This usually takes place after the descriptive talk and prior to the walking tour. Some groups prefer us not to pass the basket but for the donation to be inclusive of the cost of the organized trip. If you intend to do so, please inform us when you arrive. The suggested donation for an inclusive group donation is $5.00 per person. The Shrine receives no financial assistance from the St. Louis Archdiocese. A portion of all proceeds is used for the upkeep of the Franciscan Missionary Brothers.

If your group would like to spend more time at the Shrine we can arrange for your group to offer pilgrimage prayers to Our Lady of Czestochowa or Saint Francis. Please let us know.
